Trying to locate a deed in Ohio?

Check the Bureau of Land Management's Automated Site

1. Click on Search Land Patents on the left side
2. Provide your zip code
3. Pick the state you're interested in
4. Fill in the surname, first name if you want to narrow the search down, of who you're looking for
5. The county you're interested in or leave it all counties

. . . . . .and it will bring up a list of them. Be sure to try it both as Patentee and Warantee

When you have the document you want,

1. Choose your person
2. Details
3. Document image
4. Choose Small GIF

. . . . . and you will get a copy of the land deed.
