My name is Alice Allen, and I'll be your guide through Geauga County here in Ohio. While I am not in Geauga County, I hope I can still help you locate your ancestors who lived here.
Please Note: You may find some broken links on this page. Please be patient as I locate and correct them. Recently many locations of the Project moved to other servers. It may take a few days to find and correct all the links, thanks for your patience.
Formed in 1806 from Trumbull County, Geauga County is rich in pioneer heritage. It is our plan to make this into a location where you can find information and resources for your genealogical research. We hope you enjoy your visit and will find something you can use. Be sure to visit us often, as we will be updating and adding to our resources. If you have any public domain records (wills, obituaries, etc.) that you are willing to donate to this page, please contact me at dcaallen@pacifier.com. Please note: I do not live in Ohio, and do not have any better access to Geauga County records than you do. Check the links on this page for what records are available in the Ohio Archives for Geauga County, and what others have donated to this Project. I have also listed several mailing addresses for Geauga County -- namely the Geauga chapter of the OGS, the Geauga County Courthouse, etc. You might also want to join the OHGEAUGA-L mailing list, as some of the listmembers own Geauga Co. publications and/or live in the area and can possibly help you in your search.
The USGenWeb Project as we know it today, began in June of 1996 to provide free genealogical data, a place to leave queries and contact researchers with similar interests. If you'd like to read the full history of the USGenWeb Project, you can find that at the following link:
