- Marriages - banns published were enough - no license needed - vast majority of marriages not recorded
- Burials - rare records of them, pastor came, but felt no obligation to record them, the obituary was often read and the text of the sermon was important.
- Palatines from Alsace, yes, but rarely did they come from Lorraine!
