Welcome to the Ballina and Richmond River Genealogy Site. Initially I designed this website to cater for those with an interest in the history and genealogy of the Ballina area. Invariably, the history of many of the Ballina families was dispersed in a variety of Richmond River locations. I intend to commence resource collation for the Ballina area and as time permits, expand to other parts of the Richmond River.
This site will become a central place for the collection of information on Ballina and surrounding areas. Localities such as Pimlico, Teven, Tintenbar, Keith Hall, Empire Vale and Wardell are all close by.
The success of the site will depend on the willingness of enthusiasts to share their time and resources. If you have any information you would be willing to add please contact me.. The more individual researchers add to this site, the more useful it will become, however I have to advise due to such sensitive nature of content, I will not put any in depth details on this site about individuals who have not been deceased for 40yrs, unless given permission by a living relative. If you wish to submit information to this site, your contact details must be given and you must take all responsibility for information supplied, I cannot be held responsible for what you have submitted, nor any ill feeling from your fellow family members.
