The following is Mainland South's mandate:
Mandate
Our mandate is to preserve the heritage of these communities by recording and documenting the history of each community. Genealogies are an important part of our heritage. The Mainland South Heritage Society's areas of interest include the communities located within the Halifax Regional Municipality from Armdale to Pennant. Several members are working on the early families who settled these areas.
