The Hunterdon Gazette Project is now completed and the HCHS
is making available the full index and text for the entire period of
publication: 1825-1866.
The results of the project are contained on 4 CDs, all
available from the HCHS:
CD #1: 1825-1834
CD #2: 1835-1844
CD #3: 1845-1856
CD #4: 1857-1866

The final
online index has over 29,000 entries

Extracts from the Hunterdon County Democrat,
by Dennis Sutton, one of
the principle newspaper of Hunterdon County, New Jersey. The extracts are from
1837-1900 copies of the paper. While these extracts in no way reflect all
possible genealogical information available, they do reflected a concerted
effort to extract all marriage and death information. Dennis has recently added
a search engine which makes finding your ancestors easier.
