Index to the Hunterdon Gazette [Updated 10/23/06]
The Hunterdon Gazette Project is now completed and the HCHS is making available the full index and text for the entire period of publication: 1825-1866.

The results of the project are contained on 4 CDs, all available from the HCHS:
    CD #1: 1825-1834
    CD #2: 1835-1844
    CD #3: 1845-1856
    CD #4: 1857-1866

   Extracts from the Hunterdon County Democrat, by Dennis Sutton, one of the principle newspaper of Hunterdon County, New Jersey. The extracts are from 1837-1900 copies of the paper. While these extracts in no way reflect all possible genealogical information available, they do reflected a concerted effort to extract all marriage and death information.
