Pembroke
This was to be a GNRR station built in 1913 in Sec. 25-150-98, Schafer Twp.,
just south of
Schafer.
A local rancher named it for his hometown of Pembroke, ME, which was
named for Pembroke, Wales. Pembroke is a welsh name meaning from the
headland. Railroad construction stopped at
Watford City, and Pembrole
failed to develop.
Prairie Valley
