Since 1996, the Wake County USGenWeb site has been dedicated to helping genealogists research their ancestry in Wake County, North Carolina. It is part of the USGenWeb Project and the NCGenWeb Project, volunteers working together to provide Internet websites for genealogical research in every county and every state of the United States. These projects are non-commercial and fully committed to free access for everyone. Our sponsor is the Wake County Genealogical Society (WCGS), which was organized in 1982 to promote genealogical study and research, to serve as a medium for the exchange of genealogical or historical information, to encourage the preservation of genealogical or historical records, and to provide cultural, educational, and social opportunities involving genealogy.
This site is
updated on a regular basis in order to provide the latest information for
new and returning researchers. Thank you for visiting, and please come
back soon! |
