Kent County Probate Records

Probate Court Files may include some of the following documents:
a will (if there was one), a petition for an executor or administrator,
probate of the will, names of the heirs,  inventories
of the deceased estate at the time of their death, affidavits and other documents.

Probate, derived from Latin, meaning " to prove".  The Probate Court Records
contain the documents used to prove the authenticity of the Last Will and Testament.
 In cases where there was no will, the records may contain letters of administration
granted to the next-of-kin.

Send in any of your wills, (in full, or just the particulars) and  I will put
them online. When  the will has been transcribed, the name will appear highlighted
within the Probate Index.

* Getting a Copy from PANB *
    A copy can be acquired by sending a full mailing address, a full reference
    of the record, along with $5.00 (Cnd) for each record requested  to:

    E3B 5H1
    Requests received without full details or without payment
   cannot be processed.  In all cases, please allow at least 4 - 6
