Below is a table of the parishes and corresponding census divisions and subdivisions in Kent County, covering those censuses for which personal returns are available. A census subdivision is the territory covered by one enumerator. The organization of the rows loosely reflects the historical relationships of the parishes. For instance, Palmerston parish in 1861 was renamed St Louis by 1871, Acadieville was created from Carleton parish, St Mary from Wellington, and St Paul out of Harcourt right next to St Mary.  (It’s approximate. St Paul took parts of both Harcourt and St Mary parishes.) The subdivision tags (e-1, e-2, j-4, etc.) should be helpful in citing sources and locating the correct entries on microfilms.

Some of the personal census returns for Kent County have been transcribed into digital form and can be jumped to from here. If the subdivision tag is a hotlink, then a transcription is available. Each subdivision is in a separate file (separate web page).

If there's no hotlink for your parish or subdivision of interest, feel free to contribute a transcription!
