TODD, William B. (Broox)    40  m  VA  fmr     born 25 August 1813 VA, was son of George TODD (1772 Bedford County, VA - 1827 Monroe County, IN) and 2nd wife Sarah BROOKS, daughter of William BROOKS and Ann LOCKE;  William Broox TODD died 26 August 1865.  Was buried at Zion Cemetery in Laclede County MO. His grave is the only one in that cemetery that is built-up with large stones.  When his grave was located in 1975 the hand-carved rock, still readable, marked his final resting place.  In 1979, a grandson, Rev. A.B. TODD placed a new marker at his grave, leaving the hand-carved rock in behind the new one. On 25 Feburary 1833 in Monroe County IN, William Broox TODD married

    Thomas (Eli)            08  m  MO           b 23 Aug 1842  d 19 Oct 1863. While visiting in the home of George REESE, bushwhackers burned the house and killed Thomas and left George for dead, but he survived.  Thomas left a widow, Margaret E. JARRETT and daughter, Nancy C. TODD married Carr RIPPEE and later a LaDUE; Margaret then married "Whicker Bill" NEWTON son of Nevels NEWTON and Sarah P'POOL;

    Floid (Magnet)          02  m  MO           b 7 February  1848  d 1898 in  logging accident, buried New Grove Cemetery.  Married  17 December 1871  Nancy Miraer OLIVER daughter of W.W. OLIVER and Unica CALHOUN.
    Alexander (Newton)    3/12  m  MO           March 9, 1850-1942, buried New Grove Cemetery. Married Julia A. FINAGAN; He was noted for his carving,  weaving and basket-making.
