Surnames: STRUCHTEMEYER WIRTZ
Submitter: Joyce Walker (joywalk1@juno.com)
Date: 02 Sep 1998
My great-grandfather was Heinrich "Henry" August STRUCHTEMEYER, b. 27 Jul 1854, m. Dena Elizabeth WIRTZ, dau. of Heinrich "Henry" and Johanna (unknown surname) WIRTZ on 16 Feb. 1875 in Warren Co., MO. They had 5 children; some remained in Warren County, and the others went to Howard County, MO.
I am searching for information about Henry's father (Heinrich August?)and mother. Henry (b. 1854)had a half-sister, Wilhelmine "Minnie" Caroline, b. 28 Feb. 1849, who married William ANDEHUBER in Nov 1873, and later married Frederick JAEGER in Oct. 1883. According to her obituary (d. 1915), her mother (________) died shortly after her birth, and she was taken to Warren County. He later married Elizabeth ____________, and my Henry was born in 1854.
I think there was another Struchtemeyer family in Warren County about the same time -- how were they related?? Where in Germany did they emigrate from, etc.? Any information will be appreciated, and I will exchange information about the later generations with anyone interested. Am also interested in finding out more about the WIRTZ family. Thanks, Joyce Walker
