I am researching the connection between Denny and Hurt families of
early Randolph Co. I am from Garrard Co., KY where these families
originated and found the following in marriage records:
DENNY, Alexander F., 50, born & residing in Randolph Co., MO, lawyer,
3rd mar, married July 4, 1878 to; DENNY, Elizabeth M. POM DENNY,
James. Bondsman; DENNY, A.F. BK 13-5
He was the son of David Rice Denny, b. 1/19/1792 Garrard Co., KY; d.
2/18/1871 Randolph, emigrated to MO 1816, PVT in War of 1812.
Believed to be son of Alexander Denny who was listed in early KY tax
records. This Alexander was marr to Anne Adams 6/10/1785 Lincoln
Co., KY and believed to be the Alexander who served in the Rev War
and
buried in Franklin Cem. in Howard Co., MO.
David R. Denny was listed in the household of Joshua Hurt in 1850

I am researching the father and mother of James Scott RIGGS who came
from Kentucky and settled and lived in the area that comprises
Randolph, Audrain and Boone counties, Missouri. He was married to
Perlina BAKER. Her father was Moses BAKER.
I find them in 1880 in Boone County, but they were believed to have
lived in Clark, Randolph County. I don't know where they each died.
I would appreciate any further information from other researchers.
Thanks.

Spartanburg ,S.C. Newspaper article, dated Dec. 27, 1929.
Paris, Mo.- MISS WILLIE HAYDEN and ROBERT SPRINKLE were quietly
married in Moberly and today were on their way to honeymoon in
Florida. The announcement ended a courtship of more than 50 years for
the couple who promised faithfulness in grammer school and lived up
to their respective word through each have celebrated more than 70
birthdays.
SPRINKLE, who carried his wife's books home from school in Granville,
a little community 12 miles away, left as a youth after promising
undying affections for her while he made his fortune. She also agreed
to wait.
Now SPRINKLE is regarded as a millionaire sheep and cattle rancher in
Chinook, Mont., while MRS. SPRINKLE is a retired business woman,
after having owned and operated her own millinery store for more than
30 years.
MR. and MRS. SPRINKLE have as their own secret, the reason for their
extended courtship.
