Contests and Recognition Programs for Youth

Sponsored by Ozark Mountain Chapter SAR


The Sons of the American Revolution provide opportunities for youth to participate in several local, state, and national competitions designed to deepen their understanding and appreciation of our nation's founding. The Ozark Mountain Chapter SAR participates in each of the following contests and competitions listed below. Full details are given on the NSSAR web pages which are linked.

[starball] Eagle Scout Contest

[starball] ROTC/JROTC Recognition Program

In addition to the two essay contests and the oration contest, the SAR works with the faculty in charge of local ROTC units in colleges and JROTC units in high schools to identify and recognize excellence among their cadets.
