I am seeking to discover the ANCESTRY & DESCENDANTS of HENRY H. JACKSON who applied for a land patent in LINN COUNTY & PROBABLY LIVED IN LINN COUNTY IN 1857. We believe that he is the father of CARLOS LEE JACKSON; a HENRY H. JACKSON married MARY FRANCES SCOBEE, April 1, 1871, Adair County, MO; while Mary was pregnant with CARLOS LEE JACKSON, Henry was allegedly killed by Indians somewhere in the west. Henry was reputed to be a wagonmaster, so may have been with a wagon train headed west.
Henry was b about 1837, d about 1873, "some where out west", m MARY FRANCES SCOBEE 4/1/1871; MARY FRANCES SCOBEE was b January 7, 1854 in Stahl, Adair County, MO, d June 17, 1935, Kern Co, CA.
MARY m AUSTIN J. SIZEMORE April 30, 1874, Adair Co, MO, after the death of Henry.
I have records of a HENRY H. JACKSON who made applications for LAND PANTENTS on two parcels of land; one in CHARITON County and another in LINN County, MO; both applications were made April 1, 1857; we believe this to be the Henry H. Jackson who married MARY FRANCES SCOBEE; because of his age 34 at the time of marriage to Mary Frances, he may have been previously married and had other children. We know only of Carlos Lee.
PLEASE HELP ME DISCOVER SAID HENRY H. JACKSON AND HIS ANCESTRY AND DESCENDANTS. I am the son of ROXIE LENA SIZEMORE, half sister of CARLOS LEE JACKSON, youngest daughter of the marriage of AUSTIN J. SIZEMORE & MARY FRANCES SCOBEE.
