The Ralph Gregory Library is open to the public on Tuesdays from 9 a.m.
to 3 p.m. and on Wednesdays through Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. It is closed on
Mondays and major holidays. Also, the library is
closed annually during the winter months, from Dec. 24 to March 1.
Many historical exhibits are available for viewing in the Washington
Historical Museum (same building).
Meetings are held on third Tuesdays at the museum at 3:30 p.m.
Annual dues are $10.00 for a single membership and $2 for each
additional family member or $100 for a lifetime membership. The library has research
materials available such as county records from the early 1800s to the
present; information on churches and cemeteries; books; a collection of family
histories; census records; and more. Microfilm readers are available.
The society welcomes volunteers; donations of family histories; surname
lists; ancestor sheets; charts; genealogical books, etc.
