Page-Line:  This is the location of the Surname, Given Name in the book “Cemetery Inscription of Clark County, Missouri” by Wilma Dunlap and Wilma Walker.  I have given this information because some of the headstone cannot be read in these pictures.  I have associate the headstone with a name by a process of elimination or I had personal knowledge of the individual.

Picture Number:  You will see two different numbering system listed.  The DSC number was taken with a Sony CD Mavica, and the IMG picture was taken with a Canon Power Shot A530, both cameras are 5.0 Mega Pixels.

The raw picture file size will run over 10,000 KB for a printable picture of about 31 X 24 inches, and the same picture with JPG compression the file size is over 2,000 KB.  I used an Adobe Photoshop program to resize the picture to about 4 X 6 inches for about 500KB file size.  This file size should download in less than two minute on any dial up modem.   

Row:  I number the rows beginning at the east end of the cemetery, because on the west side of the cemetery they are adding new rows.

Feet:   I used the fence on the south side of the cemetery as a starting point to measure the distance to about the center of the headstone, and I measured to either a foot or a half of foot to get the approximate distance.

GPS reading [lat/log]:  The GPS reading was taken with a Magellan SporTrak.  The stated accuracy of this meter using WGS84 map datum is about +/- 9 ft.  Please note if you use a paper map that was printed before 2000 the Lat/Log are probable in the older Datum NAD-27 standers, and this could cause an error as great as 200 meters.  

40 Latitude N:  To make .37767 a correct measurement you will have to add 40 to the beginning of the number, and place an N at the end so your number should look like this 40.37767N.

091 Longitude W:  To make .85453 a correct measurement you will have to add 091 to the beginning of the number, and place a W at the end so your number should look like this 091.85453W.
