Boone County Missouri Census

This is the initial test of the Boone County Missouri Census project. We will provide scanned images of the census microfilm and as transcription is done, that will be added and indexed to the site.

Now that the results of the Y2K (year 2000) census are back, we find that in general Boone county and its towns are growing and growing. The likely reason that Hartsburgs population has declined is the devastating flood that hit the towns on the banks of the Missouri river in the early 1990's. Ashland is becoming quite popular for those wanting to live outside the big city of Columbia.
