I am also interested in finding a book that was the history of East Chain
Township written by Timothy Rowley. I don't know when it was written, but
it was before 1948 because that's when he died. I don't know the exact title
either, but it is referenced in "Martin County, MN History" published 1988.

Frances P. CLARK married Samuel BACON and they lived in Nashville Twp.
Martin Co and Winnebago, Faribault Co area for many years-1860-1910.
Samuel BACON died before the 1910 Census, France P. BACON was age 71
living in Winnebago. She was still alive in 1914, from a letter she
wrote at that time. I don't know when she died or where she was buried.
I've had Faribault County look for her in their cemetery records, but
they don't have a Samuel or Frances P. BACON. Since other family were
back in Nashville Twp. Martin Co., I'm wondering if they are buried
there. Her adopted son was Orrin W. BACON, and her adopted daughter
married Charlie HOWE. Orrin BACON was last found in 1910 in Westford
Twp, Martin County. Perhaps she is buried there. Anyone out there doing
research on BACON/CLARK/HOWE?
