Hi my name is Colleen and I am the
Volunteer Coordinator for Lake County Minnesota. I am working on making this a more informative site.
If you have any information, photo's, surnames, etc. Send them to me and I
will add them to the site.
The purpose of this Lake County Minnesota
GenWeb Project site is to provide a collection of genealogical information and
resources for Lake County. Our goal is to include transcription of many public
records, such as, census, marriage, and cemetery records and to provide a forum
for freely sharing that information.

coordinator for a MNGenWeb county or help with the project in any other way,

What is the USGenWeb & MNGenWeb
Project? In 1996, a group of genealogists organized the Kentucky
Comprehensive Genealogy Database. The idea was to provide a single entry
point for all counties in Kentucky, where collected information & databases
would be stored. In addition, it would be indexed and cross-linked, so that even
if an individual were found in more than one county, they could be located in
the index. This led to the USGenWeb of which Minnesota is a part. There is
also a WorldGenWeb.
