MEETINGS

Meetings are held the fourth Wednesday of the month, with the exception of November when the meeting is scheduled on the third Wednesday. There are no meetings in July, August, December and January.

PUBLICATIONS

New Members receive a free copy of the Society's Bulletin Set, 12 parts of an add-on handbook of genealogical methods and techniques. Additional Bulletins are distributed to members as they are published. Titles include: Relationship Chart, Genealogical Terminology, Collecting Cemetery Inscriptions, Using Probate Records, Key Words in Dutch Genealogy and in German Genealogy, Reading German Script, Census Holdings of the Library of Michigan, and Research at Michigan State University.

The Society publishes Occasional Papers on such subjects as: Vital Records in Early Lansing Newspapers, Cemetery Inscriptions in Some Ingham County and Eaton County Townships, Some Ingham County Probate Records, and Evolution of Michigan Townships.

RESEARCH COMMITTEE

Certified researchers will assist individuals using local resources such as the Library of Michigan, Lansing Family History Center (LDS) and nearby courthouses.
