These
transcripts of the Chippewa Cemetery, located four miles north of Shepherd,
Mich., were from notes taken by different people almost a year ago (1980).
They were typed as accurately as possible, but errors could be included.
The
sexton of the cemetery said the original records had been burned in
a fire many years ago. Many of the stones are completely illegible, and
more are very difficult to read.
The
cemetery is fairly well cared for, and is currently in use.
