36 Men Given Notification For May Draft
Sixth Call Likely To Take 31 as Quota From Isabella Area
Approximately
thirty-one draftees will leave Mt. Pleasant about May 1, for induction into
United States Training service, in the sixth call from this area.
Thirty-six
Isabella county men are being notified this week of their 1-A
classification. However, some of the
men may request induction at other cities.
The thirty-six to
be included in the sixth call are:

Since a percentage of registrants will continue to be rejected at the Induction station for physical or other causes, the Isabella County Selective Service Draft board, whishes to remind selected registrants of the possibility of rejection.
Registrants should
arrange their affairs so as to prevent undue hardship if they are rejected at
the Induction station.
They should also notify their employers of their notice to report for induction and of the possibility that they may be rejected. This notice will enable the employer to make plans for replacing the registrant if he is accepted or to continue his employment if he is rejected.
