What's new?

7/14/2006 - Links to tombstone photographs from MANY of the cemeteries in Calhoun County have been added.  These photographs were submitted by volunteer Robin Ellis, and are part of the MIGenWeb Tombstone Transcription Project.

7/12/2006 - Also, many tombstone photographs of Porter Cemetery in Convis township have been added.

12/31/2005 -  The cemetery transcriptions for Lee Township and Tekonsha Township cemeteries are now on line.  PLEASE NOTE:  Always confirm primary source records when using transcriptions, but these should provide a good place to start.

9/8/2004 - I've added a link to scanned images of seven different histories of Calhoun County.  This is part of a wonderful collection of images done by Michigan's Council of Library Directors. The collection is projected to provide access to 192 histories dating from 1866 to 1926. There are 195 volumes in 164 titles currently online. The collection is made possible, in part, through a generous Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant. Read more about the project.
