Membership is open to any person interested in genealogical research and the study of family history, whether new to the quest or, shall we say...more seasoned.

Membership Year Runs October 1st - September 30th

Dues are $10.00 for an individual membership or $15.00 for a family membership.

Membership Benefits

• We hold regular monthly meetings on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m.  Unless otherwise posted, meetings are held at the Bangor Public Library.  The meetings are free, open to the public and consist of announcements, followed by our featured speaker.  Occasionally, we have open research evenings which gives everyone an opportunity to ask questions or discuss any research problems they may be encountering. • Our Society Newsletter, Penobscot Roots & Connections, is published bi-monthly.  It includes items of general interest, research tips, membership updates, queries, meeting news and more.  Members are encouraged to contribute material of interest to the Newsletter Director for publication.

• E-Mail reminders of the meetings and special announcements of a genealogical nature (related local meetings, notice of free access offers to subscription databases, etc.)

• Be a part of a network of family researchers.
