County Historical Society Volunteers
Volunteers are needed in the following areas:
- Genealogy Library- Need persons knowledgeable in genealogical research who can help patrons find records and information on their ancestry. Needs to have good communication skills, both verbal and written. Needs to be able to work in the Society's genealogical library at least one day a week for a half day.
- Genealogical Coorespondance- Need persons knowledgeable in genealogical research who can help patrons find records and information on their ancestry. Needs to have good written communications skills. Needs to be able to spend a half a day per week answering coorespondance for the Society's genealogical library.
- Museum Docents- Need persons knowledgeable with personal interaction with the public. Needs to have good verbal communication skills. Needs to be able to spend a half day in the afternoon each week at the Miller House Museum or other Society properties as needed.
- Gardening- Need persons knowledgeable in gardening skills. Needs to be able to plan gardening work and spend one day a week during the growing season at the Society's properties tending to the needs of their garden.
- Publicity- Need persons knowledgeable in public relations coordination of events, education and out-reach programs. Skills in publishing, photography, media, writing, etc. are needed.
