HOME SURNAME LIST NAME INDEX SOURCES EMAIL Chuck for information on this family | Descendants of Richard TydingsIt is assumed that Richard Tydings who wrote his will on 2 Feb 1687 was Richard Tydings the immigrant who first appears in the Anne Arundel county records in 1663. Many believe that Richard Tydings of Anne Arundel Co MD is the son of John and Margaret Tydings born 29 May 1625 Stepney, St. Mary's, Whitechapel, London, England. For the last 100 years it was stated that Elizabeth daughterof Richard and Charity Tydings had married John Belt. This has been shown to be incorrect through land records that identify Elizabeth (nee Tydings) daughter of Richard as the wife of Robert Crump. However there is some unknown relation between John Belt and wife Elizabeth and Charity Tydings and her husband Michael Pasquient that is not resolved. Some now suspect that Elizabeth Belt might be the sister of Richard Tydings who wrote his will on 2 Feb 1687. This compilation of data on the Tydings family still needs a grat deal more work. There are many Tydings in the 1850 census whose lineage is not included in this collection of data. Table of Contents
