June 1st, 1792 Kentucky receives statehood. September 1st, 1792 Logan County became the 13th Kentucky county. Formed from Lincoln County , Logan is named in honor of General Benjamin Logan and Russellville is named as the county seat. 1796, a section of the county is used to form Warren County . In 1797 Christian County was formed from part of Logan. 1798 Muhlenberg County was formed from parts of Logan and Christian Counties. In 1810 Butler County was formed from part of Logan and Ohio Counties . In 1819 Simpson is formed from parts of Logan, Allen and Warren Counties. 1820, parts of Logan and Christian are used to form Todd County . |
