The Knox County Genealogy Web Site is looking for a few good helpers. I am in the process of finishing all of the marriage records from the start of Knox County until 1935. These will be finished before the end of the summer.
I need help fixing all of the broken links on the obituary page. Rootsweb moved the obituaries and with permission from Neal we are going to copy the obituaries and post them directly on this site so there will be no more broken links. This is not hard work but time consuming
I have taken the summer off of work and am now in the process of getting my fourth child, two mine, two foster, so while I have more time for the site I am finding that I also need more help. Anyone who has an hour or so to spare during the week I would love to hear from you. The amount of information we can add this summer is endless, but only with the help from others.
I am in need of ideas. If there is something missing from the Knox County site that you would like to see added please let me know. If there are criticisms of the site, please let me know. I love the compliments also. I know many people use the different County Sites, so if you find something on another site that you would like to see added in Knox County please send me an e-mail. I would like Knox County to be the best place to research but this can only happen with the help of everyone.
Finally we are in need of donations. I would love to see additional death certificates, World War Registration Cards, Pension files, and of course photographs. If you can donate one of the above please do. Our site can not continue to grow without the help of everyone who researches in Knox County.

I would like to thank the previous Knox County Administrators, Kelly Courtney-Blizzard and Vickie Sturgill Stevens for allowing me copy their work onto the many pages found here. I would also like to thank the many different contributors for all of their hard work. With out this generous work Knox County would only be a simple dot on the map. Each of you in your own way have made Knox County come to life for all of us.
