This picture is my great grandmother, Mary E. (Fletcher) Harris 

with son, David D. Harris, Jr. Picture was taken in l866 in 

Independence, Mo.  

 

Mary E. Fletcher Harris( b l839 Lincoln Co., Ky) married David D. Harris( b Versailles, Ky 1831), in Danville, Ky in l857. 

 

 Mary E. is the daughter of John and Mary E. (Quinton) 

Fletcher of Lincoln Co., Ky.  

 

Mary wrote lots of poetry and the only one I have

 is titled "For People Will Talk" and wrote this poem in

 the exact  year of this picture.  Would like to know if

 there is anyone who knows of any other of her poems.
