Isaacson, Ivan C. was born December 26, 1914, at Randolph, the son of Peter and Nellie (Hanson) Isaacson; he died Thursday, October 9, 2003 in Manhattan; married to Arlene Johnson on October 27, 1942, at Randolph; preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Isaacson and Irno Isaacson, and two sisters, Edna Sump and Florene Floyd; survived by his wife of the home; two sons, R. Isaacson and wife of Stevensville, Mont., and R. Isaacson of Wichita; two daughters, J. Benninga and husband of Manhattan, and R. Brenner and husband of Randolph; one sister, R. Sump of Manhattan; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren; burial in Rose Hill Cemetery northeast of Randolph. (CCT)

Jahnke, Clarence, was born Aug. 7, 1900, at Leonardville, the son of William and Ida (Wilkening) Jahnke; he died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000 in Hiawatha; married Fay Rudolph July 31, 1940; survived by his wife, a brother, H. Jahnke of Powhattan and two sisters, A. Hays of Leonardville and D. M. Rudolph of Riley; burial in Riley Cemetery (CCD)

Janasik, Ann W., age 98, died Friday, July 2, 2004 at Clay Center; born Oct. 17, 1905, in Geary County, the daughter of Richard and Anna (Clennan) Welsh; married to Kenneth B. Collins, and later divorced; married Lambert N. Janasik on March 6, 1948; he preceded her in death in 1980; survived by two children, nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; graveside services July 7 at St. Mary's Cemetery in Junction City (abstract MM)

Jenkins, Arthur Evan, was born March 1, 1918, at Bala, the son of William and Mae (Parry) Jenkins; he died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003 at Leonardville; married Alma Jones May 23, 1939 at Junction City. She preceded him in death on March 9, 2002; also preceded in death by one son, Larry Jenkins, and one brother, Ralph Jenkins; survived by one son, G. Jenkins and wife of Riley; one daughter, L. Thompson and husband of Topeka; two sisters, N. Huse andK. Casebeer, both of Manhattan; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren; burial in the Bala Cemetery west of Riley (CCD)

Jenkins, Alma, was born Jan. 5, 1921, at Kansas City, Mo., and was reared in the Leonardville community by Alf and Lillie Johnson; she died Saturday, March 9, 2002, at her home near Riley; married Arthur Jenkins May 23, 1939, at Junction City; survived by her husband, a son, G. Jenkins and wife of Riley; a daughter, L. Thomson and husband of Topeka; a sister, R. Johnson of Manhattan; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; burial at Bala Cemetery, west of Riley (CCD)

Jenkins, Ellen, was born Nov. 27, 1904, at Leonardville, the daughter of Embert and Annie (Weider) Peterson; she died Aug. 21, 2000 in Manhattan; married Lawrence "Larry" Jenkins June 12, 1949, and he preceded her in death June 20, 2000; survived by two sisters, A. Norris of Manhattan and M. Leach of Topeka; burial in Crooked Creek Cemetery north of Leonardville. (CCD)

Jenkins, Lawrence "Larry", was born Jan. 22, 1921, at Manhattan, the son of John and Dessie (Siddens) Jenkins; he died Tuesday, June 20, 2000 in Topeka; married Ellen Peterson June 12, 1949; survived by his wife and a brother, D. Johnson, Alpha E. was born Jan. 1, 1910, at Manhattan, the daughter of John and May (Chapman) Rice ; she died Thursday, Oct. 14, 1999, at Frankfort; married Edwin Johnson June 14, 1930, and he preceded her in death April 1, 1967; also preceded by three brothers and three sisters; survived by a son, M. Johnson of Tigard, Ore.; two daughters, L. Schultes and husband of Randolph and R. Harder and husband of Canyonville, Ore.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; burial in Randolph Fancy Creek Cemetery north of Randolph (CCD)

Clair E. Johnson, 66, of Leonardville, died Jan. 31, 2004, while vacationing in Hawaii; born Nov. 5, 1937, at Clay Center, the son of Leslie and Hildur Dahlsten Johnson; married June Eyerly on May 31, 1964, at Lyons. She survives; also survived by two sons, C. and H., both of Wichita; one sister, M. Carpenter of Sam Rayburn, Texas; and two grandchildren; funeral at Walsburg Lutheran Church, northeast of Leonardville; no other burial information (JCU)

Hildur M. Johnson, 96, of Leonardville, died March 8, 2003, at Leonardville Nursing Home; born on Dec. 15, 1906, in Freemount, the daughter of Gottlieb and Clara (Larson) Dahlsten; married Leslie Johnson on July 29, 1936. He preceded her in death on March 28, 1991; also was preceded in death by three sisters, Elvera Johnson, Gertrude Carlson and Marie Dahlsten; survivors include one son, C. Johnson and his wife J. of Leonardville; one daughter, M. Carpenter and her husband R. of Sam Rayburn, Texas; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, A. Fagerberg of Leonardville. (JCU)
