Glendale Cemetery
Reno County, Kansas
Grove Township
Glendale Cemetery is a little known cemetery, located in Grove Township.  This cemetery can be found by turning east of the Turon-Sylvia road, 6 miles north of Turon, go one mile, then continuing north 1/2 mile.  Also, it can be found by going 3 miles south of Sylvia, turning and going east one mile, then going 1/2 mile north.  It is located in the NW corner SW1/4 Section 2-25-10 in Grove Township.  This tract of three acres of land was given to the trustees of the Baptist Church for a burial ground January 27, 1892, It is a well-kept, but little used cemetery of approx. 39 graves.  The oldest grave is that of Harry Thomas, 1885, who was either moved to the cemetery or was buried there before the church acquired the land.
The more modern day, Septemeber 2002,  location description of this cemetery is at the intersection of Arlington Road and Netherland Road, 1/2 mile north on Netherland Rd.  The cemetery is on the east side of road.
Or, drive four miles south of Sylvia Road, one mile east on Arlington  Road 1/2 mile north on Netherland Rd.
