LYON COUNTY, KANSAS

VITAL RECORDS

In the late 1800's and early 1900's vital records in Kansas were kept on a county basis. There are a few records on Birth and Death Records at the Lyon County Historical Society, and links to online Indices for these are below, as well as links to other Lyon County Vital Records online. Each link explains where and how to obtain copies. Marriage records and obits are available through the Flint Hills Genealogical Society.

Birth and Death Records were not required by the State of Kansas until July 1, 1911. After that time period you will need to contact the Office of Vital Statistics for a copy. Their current fee is $11.00.
