Timothy Luther Albright, 39, former Augusta resident, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 1998 in Dallas, Texas.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m., Monday, Jan. 19 at the Hillside Funeral Home, Augusta Chapel.
His service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20 at St. James Catholic Church. Father James Mainzer will officiate.
He was employed as a grounds keeper and landscaper.
He also resided in Wichita, Junction City and Lincoln, Neb.
He was born Jan. 15, 1958 in Mountain Home AFB, Idaho to Ted and JoAnn (Johnston) Albright.
Survivors include brothers, Kip, Peter and Tad Albright; sisters, Cindy Kerby, Susan Paugh; parents, Ted and JoAnn Albright; grandmother, Marie Johnston.
Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Catholic Charities, Inc., 437 N. Topeka, Wichita, KS 67202.

JOSE ARREDONDO, 65, 1239 Hooper, died Sunday at his home.
His funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. The rosary will be said at 7:30 tonight at the funeral home. Monsignor Charles F. Walsh will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
He was born March 19, 1919 in Pueblo, Mexico, to Candelario and Fransica Jimenz Arredondo.
He married Mary Valadez Sept. 13, 1947 in El Dorado. She survives.
He was a retired maintenance person for the Santa Fe Railway.
He was a member of St. James Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Other survivors include sons, Joe Jr., John, both of Augusta; daughters, Delores Burrows of Towanda; half brothers, Jesse, Toney, both of Fontana, Calif.; sister, Rosa Gallegos of Chicago, Ill. And five grandchildren.

HELEN RUTH (PONDER) BARDOT, 84, Wichita, sister of Augusta resident Carl Ponder, died Wednesday, Feb. 19.
Rosary will be read at 7 p.m. Friday at Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta. A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. James Catholic Church in Augusta, the Father James Billinger officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Bardot was born Feb. 8, 1908, in Salisbury, Mo., to Mr. & Mrs. Frank Ponder.
On Nov. 7, 1933, she married James Edwin Bardot in Salisbury.
Survivors include a son, Jerry of Wichita; daughters, Mary R. Evans of Independence, Mo., Shirley Malan of Beaumont, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on July 22, 1989, and a brother, Harold Ponder.

DOROTHY M. (SCHNEIDER) BURRESS, 69, of Augusta died Saturday, Feb. 8, at Augusta Medical Complex Long Term Care.
Her rosary service will be at 7 p.m. tonight at Dunsford Funeral Home Chapel. Her funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, at St. James Catholic Church with Fr. James Mainzer officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Dorothy M. Schneider was born Jan. 3, 1928, in Augusta to Andrew P. and Ella (Coday) Schneider.
She married Charles Edwin Burress June 8, 1951, in Augusta. He preceded her in death in 1968.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. James Catholic Church.
Survivors are son, Charles P. Burress of Augusta; daughters, Jill Young of Wichita and Melissa Davidson of Augusta; grandchildren, Megan Morgan, Ryan Davidson, Andrew, Rance and Abbie Burress and Ashton and Amber Young and great-grandson, Cody Morgan.
A memorial has been established with the St. James Catholic Church building fund. Contributions may be sent to the funeral home.

RALPH R. COATS DIED TODAY AFTER TWO WEEKS ILLNESS
Ralph Richy Coats, 48, Magnolia lease worker near Augusta for the past 18 years, died at 3 o’clock this morning at the Allen Memorial hospital at El Dorado from a cerebral hemorrhage after an illness of two weeks. He had been an oil field worker all his life and came here from Bigsby, Okla., in 1922. He was born at Lima, Ohio, March 31, 1891. He married Helen Finkler on March 8, 1913, at Casey, Ill.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Louis Darter, Douglass and Delores at home; two sons, Victor, Carlyle, Ill., and Roscoe, at home. Also three sisters, Mrs. C.C. Bethel, Lima, Ohio; Mrs. Ethel Kranz, Portsmouth, W. Va.; Mrs. Helen Gallatin, Martinsville, Ill. Also a grandson.
Funeral services were not arranged by noon today. They will be announced Saturday after word is received from sisters living in the east.
RALPH RICHIE COATS

Ralph Richie Coats was born March 31, 1891 in Lima, O. He departed this life at the age of 48 years, 11 months and seven days at the Allen Memorial hospital at 3 a.m., Friday, March 8.
As a young man he went to Casey, Ill. Where he met and married Barbara Ellen Finkler, March 8, 1913. He lived here six years when with the three children and wife he moved to Bigsby, Okla. in 1919 where their daughter, Delores, was born.
With the family he moved back to Augusta in 1922 where he had been with the Magnolia Oil company until his death. Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Harry Darter of Douglass, and Delores of the home; two sons, Roscoe of the home, and Victor of Carlyle, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. C.C. Bathel, Lima, O., Mrs. Ethel Kranz, Portsmouth, W. Va., Mrs. Helen Gallatin, Martinsville, Ill.; a grandson, Gary Ernest Darter; a nephew, Victor Bathel of Augusta; Mr. and Mrs. Nick Finkler and family; one aunt, uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins.
As a man he was patient, honest and understanding and will be remembered by his fellow workmen and friends.
Interment was in Calvary cemetery on Monday. Services at the grave were read by Rev. John M. Moeder, pastor of the St. James Catholic church.
The pall bearers were: Joe Huston, F.W. Moriarty, Tom Westbrook, Joe Crowder and Scott Carman.

COLGAN FUNERAL TIME BEING ARRANGED TODAY
Thomas Jerome Colgan, 64, died yesterday in St. Francis hospital in Wichita.
Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge. The Rosary will be recited Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from St. James Catholic church with the Mass by father Thomas Colgan, a cousin of the deceased. Father W.J. Cremin will assist. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.
Mr. Colgan was a life-long resident of Butler county. He was born Oct. 8, 1898, the son of Martha Kelly Colgan and Frank T. Colgan. He was a member of St. James Catholic church.
Survivors include two brothers, Francis of Augusta, and Dr. John of Eagle Rivers, Wis.

William Louis Colling, 45, Eufaula, Okla., died Saturday, July 23, 1994 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Okla.
There will be a Rosary at 7 p.m. tonight at the Dunsford Funeral Chapel. His funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, at St. James Catholic Church in Augusta with Father James S. Mainzer officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Augusta.
He was born on Nov. 29, 1948 in McCook, Neb., as the son of George and Rebecca Combow Colling.
The former toolmaker is survived by his brothers, Bruce, Brian, both of Augusta, Martin of Caldwell, Bradley with the USAF stationed in Germany; his parents, George & Rebecca of Augusta.
A memorial has been established with the St. James Catholic Church of Augusta.
EDWARD DELANEY

The funeral services for Edward Delaney who died at the Augusta hospital will be held from the St. James church tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock.
Mr. Delaney was a native of New Jersey but has made his home in Rose Hill for years.
He is survived by a brother, Den Delaney, of Salisaw, Okal., eight children and four step-children. The children are, Edward, of Kinney, Neb., Andrew of Beatrice, Neb., John of Mount Rose, Mo., Mrs. Howard Kimmell of Leona, Kansas, Mrs. John Mahaffey, and Mrs. Don O’Connell of Salamon City, Idaho, Mrs. Homer Hanson, Hiawatha, Kansas, Mrs. Matt Stewart, Baker, Idaho, John and Dr. M. Cochran of Augusta, Mrs. Frank Culver, Dayneville, Kansas, and Mrs. Ed Delaney of Kinney, Neb. All the children will be here for the funeral services except two.
GERTRUDE E. FISCHER

Gertrude E. Fischer, 96, Augusta, died Thursday, Dec. 24, at Villa Maria in Mulvane.
A funeral service was held today at St. James Catholic Church in Augusta, Father James Mainzer officiating. Burial was in the Calvary Cemetery.
Fischer was born Oct. 19, 1896, in Foxburg, Pa., to Elizabeth (Duffy) Francis Moriarty.
On May 21, 1921, she married Herman Fischer in Winfield. He preceded her in death.
Fischer was retired in 1965 as dispatcher to the Augusta Safety Department. She belonged to St. James Catholic Church and the St. James Altar Society.
Survivors include sons, John Fischer of Fallbrook, Calif., Edward Fischer of Jenks, Okla.; daughters, Elizabeth Markley of Augusta, Helen Cross of Bethany, Okla., Marjorie Flynn of Evansville, Ind.; sisters, Sister Carmelita Moriarty of Wichita, Julia Bray of Houston, Texas, Mary Bowers of Augusta; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Ted Moriarty, Francis “Bud” Moriarty and Wade Moriarty; sisters, Kathryn Moriarty and Margaret Bruce; and grandsons, Michael & James Erwin.
Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta is in charge of arrangements.
A memorial has been established with Villa Maria, 116 E. Central, Mulvane, Kan. 67110.
PATRICK HUGHES

Patrick Hughes was born in Ireland in 1833, coming to America in 1876. In 1885 he moved to Butler county, and settled on a farm southwest of Augusta in Pleasant township, where he lived until six years ago. He moved from the farm to Wichita, where three of his sons reside.
He suffered an attack of heart failure, Saturday night, which was feared would prove fatal but he rallied. Monday afternoon he walked down the stairs at his home, 116 North Osage Avenue, and when he reached the bottom grew faint and fell to the floor. A physician was called but he died in a few minutes. Mr. Hughes had been blind for six years.
He is survived by a widow, five sons and two daughters. The late Mrs. A.J. Lehr, of Augusta, was a daughter.
Funeral services were held at the Pro-Cathedral, Wichita, Wednesday morning, at 10:30 o’clock. Interment in Calvary cemetery.
