The delay which a man experiences in getting a pension is illustrated in our county. Uncle David McKinney was injured while serving as a soldier in the Black Hawk war, in 1832. At present he seems in a fair way to secure a pension within a year or two. It takes a man with a strong constitution to last long enough to secure a pension in this country.
Uncle David McKinney came in yesterday, bringing a few samples of the heel-fly, which he had captured just to convince the editors that there was such a bird.
