Hello Shirley,
I am writing on behalf of a director of Warsaw Uprising Museum (and my uncle) who asked me to find family of Lt. Paul Hibbard, about whom you have mentioned on your site.I noticed couple more websites posting about Heroes of World War II, but none of them provided me with any contact information for further research.
I live in US in St. Louis, MO, and I promised my uncle to do my best to find any connections with family of deceased hero. The reason of this research is, that the Warsaw Museum desires to expand list of American Heroes who fought in WWII to help free Warsaw. Lt. Paul Hibbard was shot by German Messershmidt after he himself shot down 5 airplanes. Parts of his air plane were found in nearby country side by Warsaw and stored as a memorial. The Museum would like to put Paul's HIbbard's name on the board and to read his honors on the annual national Memorial day in September. This is very serious and uplifting event and in order to honor heroes, the Museum needs to get in touch with families and obtain their permission.
Shirley, you are my only link and I was hoping you could give me extra clues of how to find relatives of Lt. Paul Hibbard.
Please let me know at my email dj_graham@sbcglobal.net.
I appreciate your insight and help.
God Bless,
Jadwiga

Hi Jerry - been reading the website some more and found an article about Lewis Maple Hastings, whose grandfather was Henderson Martin, one of my distant relatives! Thanks! It's always interesting to see what has been added, and maybe some day I'll get through it all!!
Also found an obituary for Nancy Jane Trotter, who was my great grandmother on my mother's side of the family.

My name is Joe Goodwin and I too visited Natural Bridge several times during my childhood. Kent Massey was a close friend and classmate from 1938 thru 1947, also knew most of the others in the photos appearing on this site. Those years spent in Barber County were the happiest days of my life.

Hi, I accidently ran across this site while doing some genology research on my family the Lasswells,I'm from southern illinois and my father was a banker and post master in a small town in Hamilton county Illinois with the name walpole, the old post office in this picture resembles the old post office my father was post master at and the banker all in one building.
Thanks for the posting the pictures, I guess we are all related in some way, enjoyed reading the story of Mr. Hagerman also and his letters from WW-1. thanks Jim Lasswell Paulton Illinois.

I'm researching my family genealogy, and this site has been quite helpful. My dad (Jim Eby, son of Franklin Eby and Nettie Groendycke) is from Medicine Lodge, and it's been fascinating to read about the history of the town and the people. Thank you for maintaining this site!

Hi Jerry - thanks to you and all the others on your Biographies page! I've been reading it with great interest. Still have a long ways to go. Brings back memories of names I remember from my "growing up days" in Sun City, and have found some missing obituaries from some of my mother's family. Great job as always!

Hi
Just had some good fun reading your site, especially about the crooked Henningsen family. But I don't think they were Germans, but Danes from the northern part of Germany (Schleswig), now again a part of the kingdom of Denmark.

Jerry - thanks for posting Betty Garten's obituary. I've sent the link to her family. Her service was a very nice one and well attended. Thanks again!
