Japan Queries

IMPORTANT! - Take a moment to read ALL instructions as well as the example query.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. I am using an automated query system. Please be sure to follow all directions.
2. Put ALL surnames in CAPITALS.
3. To the best of your knowledge, let people know WHO you are looking for, WHERE they were in Japan, and WHEN they were in Japan.
4. Do your best to give an idea of the location in Japan.
5. Your query must mention a connection to Japan or it will be removed without notice. Queries posted here at the Japan General Query board will also be removed without notice if they mention a prefecture. Every prefecture now has it's own query page. To go to the prefecture list, click here.

EXAMPLE QUERY:

Looking for NAKAMATSU Noriko b. 1831 in Okinawa. She moved with her parents, NAKAMATSU Shigeki and SUGAHARA Momoko, to Shizuoka, Shizuoka-ken, Japan ca. 1840. Noriko married SUZUKI Hideyo on 28 Dec 1865 in Shimizu, Shizuoka-ken, Japan. They had the following children: Michio, b. 14 Oct 1866; Tomoko, b. 1868. I would like to correspond with anyone interested in exchanging information on this family.

If you know the prefecture, please post to the Query Board for that prefecture. Any posting to this board listing a prefecture will be deleted without notice.
