ITALIAN GENEALOGY VOLUNTEERS
POINTers in Person is proud to announce our volunteer program! Our chapter has volunteers available to work with you one-on-one at a local library or Family History Center. Many people want to get started but after they leave the meeting, they need someone with Italian genealogy expertise to work with them at their local center to get them to the next step.
Please keep in mind that these
volunteers are NOT going to do your genealogy for you. They will only help you and work with you to
train you to get to the next step in your research. These are not professional genealogists and should not be
available for hire. But they are very
knowledgeable and can work with you one-on-one.
Please e-mail one of these
volunteers to set up an appointment when the two of you can meet. I listed the meeting location so you know
where the volunteers are close to. (We’re
not able to drive long distances to meet people many miles away.)

We are working on finding more
volunteers – we would like at least one volunteer to help at each Family
History Center in Chicago. We need
volunteers for Crystal Lake FHC, Orland Park FHC, or Chicago Heights FHC. If you are interested in volunteering on
this project, please write to Dan at pipnorth@comcast.net.
