  		He grew up (Patrick Feehan) on his father’s farm of seventy acres and acquired the skills of a carpenter. On May 18, 1875, he married Jane Carr of Ft. Agustus, daughter of John Carr and Margaret Began. The following is an excerpt from official church records: This day, May 18,1875, having published the banns between Patrick Feehan, son of Henry Feehan and Bridget Burns of the one part, and Jane Carr, daughter of John Carr and Margaret Began, of the other part, no impediment of the marriage, having been discovered, I received their mutual consent to marry and gave them the nuptial benediction in the presence of John Elms and Catherine McGonnell.
