General Notes (Husband)
================================================================================
Since your Grandfather Frank married Fanny I did a search for her
too.
She
is one of four children in the 1900 Census taken 24 June
1900. She is 19
years
old born in March 1872; however, I have her birth as 17 April
1881! If she
was
truly 19, then her birth was 1881. Census takers may not
have gotten it
correct!
She has a brother Hearley who is 16 born July 1882 whose
Occupation is Farm
Laborer.
She has a brother Charles A who is 11 years old born July 1888
(that date
can
work!) who is at school.
She has a sister Evita F who is 9 years old born August 1890
(that date can
work) who is at school.
Her father John OLINGER is 55 years old born in 1845 in Ohio
which matches
my
information. His Father was from Pennsylvania and his
Mother from Ohio.
His
Occupation is Farmer.
His wife Ellen is 52 years old and they have been married 32
years (sound
familiar!) She was born in Dec 1847 AND had 10 Children of
which 8 are
alive!!! Four must be living away from home at this point.
I wish I could have spent more than a few hours there. I
made copies of the
Census pages. I will keep digging and let you know what
else I uncover!

Sic = I have the Marriage License which was issued in 1868 rather
than 1866.
Since your Grandfather Frank married Fanny I did a search for her
too.
She
is one of four children in the 1900 Census taken 24 June
1900. She is 19
years
old born in March 1872; however, I have her birth as 17 April
1881! If she
was
truly 19, then her birth was 1881. Census takers may not
have gotten it
correct!
She has a brother Hearley who is 16 born July 1882 whose
Occupation is Farm
Laborer.
She has a brother Charles A who is 11 years old born July 1888
(that date
can
work!) who is at school.
She has a sister Evita F who is 9 years old born August 1890
(that date can
work) who is at school.
Her father John OLINGER is 55 years old born in 1845 in Ohio
which matches
my
information. His Father was from Pennsylvania and his
Mother from Ohio.
His
Occupation is Farmer.
His wife Ellen is 52 years old and they have been married 32
years (sound
familiar!) She was born in Dec 1847 AND had 10 Children of
which 8 are
alive!!! Four must be living away from home at this point.
I wish I could have spent more than a few hours there. I
made copies of the
Census pages. I will keep digging and let you know what
else I uncover!
