  James Wright spent Saturday and Sunday with Miss Lou Hash. 
  Collins Williams was at Indianapolis last Friday and visited the legislature.
  Miss Ollie Willoughly spent Friday and Saturdayin Versailles and attended teacher's examination while there.
  Rev. Wolf commenced a series of  meetings here last Tuesday. The meetings are well attended
and considerable interest shown.
  Albert Ray sold his possession here and with his family started for Tennessee Saturday. We wish them
prosperity in their new home.

Big Creek was higher Friday than it was ever known to be. Water was about two foot deep in the Shcwartz school house.

For six months beginning with the May examinations , the questions in General Culture will be based on Guizot’s History of Civilization, covering on Township Institute Outline at each examination, beginning with the first out,ine.

For the same examination the question in Reading will be based on Tompkin’s “Literary Interpretations” as outlined for the Institute work, and will be taken up in the same order.
