Certified birth records are $5.00 and $2.00 for each extra copy of the same record ordered at the same time. Certified death records are $6.00 and $3.00 for each extra copy of the same record ordered at the same time.
You can get a “genealogy page” for a cost of $1.00. This is a non-certified page listing all the information found on the birth or death record. Please enclose a SASE (self addressed, stamped envelope).
The department only accepts money order, cashier’s check or cash as payment.
The state did not keep records of deaths until 1900 and for births starting
in 1907. So you must obtain copies of records through the county office for
dates prior to these. The county started keeping records in 1882.
