Located on the north side of County Road 500 North (one mile south of US 224) between CR 600 West and 700 West in Adams County Indiana (CR 700 W in Adams Co. is 800 East in Wells County, the county line), this small cemetery of 12 short rows has the earliest burial date of 1844 recorded on a stone and it is still active. A chain link fence surrounds the cemetery on three sides. Six large trees border the gravel county road; three on either side of a wrought iron gateway, which is at the entrance to a grassy drive that divides rows nine and ten. This cemetery reading was done in July 1998 and the list was compared with the 1956 DAR reading and, in some instances, with the relevant WPA data. Numbering of rows begins at the west side of the cemetery and lots are listed from the end of the row closest to the road and read northward. Brief descriptions of the gravestones themselves are included. Annotated Gravestone Inscriptions Row 1 (7 stones) Andrew S., son of J. & N.A. Hower, d. Sept. 6, 1862, Age 8 mo. 8 da.
