The Winnebago & Boone Counties Genealogical Society exists to:

• Encourage and support genealogical researchers.
• Promote the discovering, collecting, indexing, and preserving of valued genealogical resources of Winnebago and Boone Counties.
• Encourage publication of county material and family histories.

at Ida Public Library 320 North State Street, Belvidere, IL

We meet at the Spring Creek United Church of Christ, located at 4500 Spring Creek Road in Rockford, Illinois, unless otherwise noted.

Monthly meetings are held September through May, usually on the first Saturday of the month and start at 1:30 p.m. 

July Bus Trip

We have planned a bus trip to the National Archives in Chicago, July 12th at 7:30 a.m. from the North end parking lot of Forest Plaza (old Media Play). Cost is $25 per person and open to the first 30 members and their guests until June 1st, then open to others. All members should have recieved flyer by mail. Contact the Leese's for additional information.
