Hello, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Karen Smith-Schottenbauer. I am the new coordinator for the Stephenson County site. I currently live in northern Wisconsin, with my kids, Meghann and Robby, but was raised in Freeport. My Father, Bob Smith, now in Monroe WI, was born and raised in Freeport. Many of our ancestors settled in this region and called Stephenson County home. I am very excited to take on this new task and look forward to making this a great source for anyone with roots in Stephenson County. Since it has been a few years since I have worked with a website, I ask for your patience as I become reaquainted with the process!
