County Farm Cemetery
Oregon Township
In 1967, the County Farm Cemetery gravestones were
removed from the graves and piled in the northeast corner of a
plot of ground along Rt. 2, south of Oregon. After a long debate,
the cemetery was protected and the stones have been replaced lying
flat, but not necessarily on the correct grave. The final entry
in the Almshouse Register was February 19, 1934. In this register,
under the heading "Remarks" a number of people were
recorded as "died," and no place of burial is indicated.
