Lee County Genealogical Society

Open House

The Lee County Genealogical Society and their library, the Family Tree Center has moved to a new location, 111 S. Hennepin Avenue in Dixon.

They are having an Open House Friday and Saturday, the 15th and 16th of August.

This library, The Family Tree Center, is the place to go for any Lee County genealogy research. They have the largest collection on Lee County that you will fine anywhere. If you are doing research in Lee County make the Family Tree Center your first stop. There is no charge to use the library, only for copies.

Ashton Newspaper Indexes

This index of the Ashton Gazette covers Feb. 28, 1895 to Dec. 28, 1944. Also included misc. Ashton Sentinel and Ashton Press newspapers. There are 18 issues of the Ashton Sentinel, from 1873 to 1887. The Ashton Press issues are for 1889, 49 issues, Jan. 19, 1889 to Dec. 28, 1889.

New Advances in Microfilm Digitization & Indexing
