Decatur- Eugene E. CROTSER, 76, of Decatur, passed away 6:05 p.m. Wednesday (April 7, 1993) in his residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday in St. Thomas Catholic Church. Visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in J. J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home with a 7:45 p.m. parish prayer service. Burial will be in Mount Gilead Cemetery with military rites. Mr. Crotser was born March 8, 1917 in Vera, the son of Edward and Bertha BOLT Crotser. He was a machine operator for Illinois Central Railroad for 30 years. He was also a veteran of World War II serving in the US Navy. He was a member of VFW Post 99 and St. Thomas Catholic Church. He married Irene JOZSA June 21, 1940 in Bowling Green, Mo. Surviving are his wife of Decatur; sons, Larry Eugene Crotser and his wife Mary Kay of Champaign; Daniel Edward Crotser and his wife Kathy of Titusville, Fla; daughter, Karen Irene King of Oakley; sisters Irene BURSON and Edna HOBBS, both of Vandalia; Pauline Willis of Ananheim, Calif.; grandsons, Larry A. Crotser and Michael Crotser; granddaughters, Teri Fegett, Vicki STROCHER, Angela MEYERS and Leanne CROTSER; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three grandchildren.
