We are proud to present information about the City of Oelwein, Iowa and the surrounding
area. We have a brief History of Oelwein, information

The Oelwein Area Historical Society general meetings are held at 7:30 PM on the last
Tuesday of every month. Each month there is a presentation on some aspect of the history
of Oelwein or the surrounding area. The general meetings are open to the public. Please

The Oelwein Area Historical Society is now selling cotton coverlets. Please help
the Oelwein Area Historical Society and Museum by purchasing a lasting memory of
Oelwein. The proceeds from these coverlets will go toward building a new addition
and other improvements for the Museum.
The coverlets measure 68" X 48" plus a fringe and are available in
three colors - Cranberry Red, Hunter Green and Williamsburg Blue.
