MARIETTA CEMETERY

 


 

          Marietta Cemetery is found in Section 24 of Marietta township. This cemetery is well maintained.  Marietta Cemetery is one of the oldest in Marshall County.  Burials started there in 1850.  It is located West of Marshalltown along Highway 330 South of Albion.  The ground was purchased in 1859 and fifteen years later the Marietta Cemetery Company was incorporated.  The following are some of the many individuals buried in this cemetery.  This burial information was kindly transcribed and submitted by Kelly Shaw.
